Holiday Decorating Contest
This holiday contest celebrates the winter season. Whatever holiday your family celebrates this time of year is welcome. The prize is bragging rights for a year, a certificate of award, and a sign placed in your yard denoting your home as a winner.
Decorations may be lit or unlit, confined to a door or window, or spread over the entire yard -- your imagination is your guide. Criteria for voting is left to the voters -- neighbors will just choose their favorites. To be considered for the contest, displays need to be up by December 8.
Online voting will be open from December 8 - December 16 with each neighbor allowed to vote for their favorite three displays. Everyone living in the neighborhood is eligible to vote, including children. Voting will be to the neighborhood association e-mail address: collegewoodlands@gmail.com. Just sent in the three addresses you want to vote for in your e-mail. If you aren't sure about the neighborhood boundaries, check out our neighborhood map on the "About" page. The top three displays (those getting the most votes) will be announced as winners by December 19.
The winners from last year are not eligible for the current year. Past winners become eligible again once they have "sat out" one holiday season after their award year.
