Events
Events are held periodically, but most general information updates are done electronically through the neighborhood social network Next Door. If you reside in the neighborhood, you are welcome to join the College Woodlands Next Door group. Just go to Nextdoor.com and create an account. Or, you can e-mail the association and join our member only listserv on the contact page of this website. Notices about the below and other events are sent out through these mechanisms. For members who provide stamped, addressed envelopes, the officers will mail information.
Annual Events

Neighborhood Yard Sale (Spring or Fall)
4th of July Picnic
October -- National Night Out and Trick or Treating
December -- Annual holiday decorations contest

College Woodlands is home to two local green spaces, Woodland Parkway Park, pictured above, with playground equipment for children, and the Dr. David E. Schob Nature Preserve owned by Texas A&M University, whose gazebo is pictured to the right. The nature preserve serves as a learning space for students and faculty and provides walking trails and gathering spaces. Social events for the College Woodlands Neighborhood Association often take place in these parks.

Texas A&M's Big Event is active in the neighborhood; in addition to working in individual yards, groups are invited to help with neighborhood projects, like this group, who helped clean up the neighborhood parks.
